Whether you’re in college or your kids are about to get off from school, there’s no better place to scratch that wanderlust itch than the great outdoors. We’ve compiled a list of our top 2016 camping destinations:
1. Shenandoah National Park, USA
Shenandoah is located in Virginia, a few hours from New York City and a little over an hour from Washington DC. The park is known for its incredible backcountry camping with over 195,000 acres of untouched wilderness. While you’re there, take your car for a long drive along the scenic Skyline Drive, a 105-mile road that runs through the entire park.
2. Yosemite National Park, USA
Located in California, Yosemite is a top destination for nature lovers in the United States. The park offers a tremendous diversity of plants and animals. Known for spectacular lakes, mountains, and springs you’ll be sure to wake up to a beautiful view. 3. Peak District, England
The Peak District is located in Northern England and offers some of the greenest terrain anywhere in the world. The camping and hiking is some of the best in the United Kingdom and tourists have been flocking there since the early 19th Century. We recommend the park for visitors interested in outdoor activities combined with artistic and cultural excursions in a very historic region.
4. Barrington Rocks National Park, Australia
If you live in or are visiting Sydney, we recommend heading out to Barrington Rocks National Park, only four-hours north. There are numerous hiking trails and camping grounds located throughout the park along with some amazing places for fishing. Some of the rivers flowing through the park are classified as wild rivers meaning they are pure and extremely clean.
5. Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa

In the eastern section of the park, visitors can see dolphins and otters in their natural habitat. Summer Camping Tips
It’s going to be hot this summer and it’s important that you find ways to keep yourself cool while out in nature. Using camping shade to shield your tent from the sun’s heat can help fight off dehydration and overheating. Aluminet shade technology can protect your tent from the sun, while allowing for proper airflow. In addition, we recommend drinking a lot of water and using sunscreen, especially when going on long hikes.
